Lensbaby league

This album is more specified in Lensbaby.

My first lensbaby was the 3G, it was nice but much too difficult to focus right for me without tripod. and since I do not have my tripod with me all the time, I sold it and bought the Composer version now.

I'm very pleased with it. I have several optics and do also have the Wide angle/Telephoto kit which is very useful when I only have the lensbaby with me.
The macro kit is also a must when you like to photograph very close to flowers or other elements. You can stack them together or use them separately. I have used it in all it's possibilities ;-)

It's light, sharp and creative.....cool to carry around without having too much weight.

Again a wonderful shoot to do was something like in the 40's with a real oldtimer SV4 plane. It was very windy outside, but the sun came out once in while.
It was a big adventure organizing this, but with the help of the people of the Airfield of deurne, everything went smoothly.

Back to the 50's!

This is another set with the lovely and sweet Parisienne model Miss Liz. She comes straight from the 50's, so it was not hard to pretend like we were in the 50's hehe :-)
The photos with the male model is actually her husband who also posed as Clyde for me in the Bonnie and Clyde set here too.

Meet de famous couple of this century : BONNIE & CLYDE

Et voila, i had the most amazing shoot with these lovely models from Paris. they are actually married to eachother hehe.
So it was very cool and pleasant to create this theme with them, cause the feelings were real ;-)
It was a fabulous day and I even rented a real Tommy Gun replica haha. We used US Dollars, real cigars, a Wallstreet Journal etc.......

New 'Before and After'

Something interesting to see

Many people are interested in "before and After", so I made some effort and made this Album to show you how photos can change with several programs. Mostly I use Photoshop CS5 and sometimes Elements 7 too.

For the skin I use Portrait professional which works really good!

For HDR I use Photomatix pro...awesome toy :-)
It's always important that you shoot well too with the right light and equalization , cause not everyting depends on the post processing afterwarts.
You can see the photos larger in the slideshow.
I hope you enjoy....more photos will come, so keep a closer look at this album :-)

Burlesque Lady

For the first time I worked with a clothing designer : http://www.loveburlesque.com/
The outfits are super and really stand out in the pictures, it was a pleasure to work with one of those creations! Corset, Gloves, Hat, Feathers at the back and stockings contained the whole outfit.

This serie is Burlesque influenced in the Lovely salon of "Maison Le Dragon" at brugge. Acid Doll is a sweet and lovely model who really is a part of Burlesque, she loves it and shows that in the pictures. I would almost think she's an experienced actress. Poses look really natural.

HOT RODZ

Oh yes, you read it right ;-)
I was planning this shoot for a while and it has been amazing! We rented a green/white Buick from 1956 with Nostalgic Cars in Schellebelle and Claire had the perfect clothing with her for fitting the colors. Her boyfriend came along and my husband too.
The weather was gorgeous, the atmosphere was superb and we got some great shots, also in the Retro Garage and retro furniture inside of Nostalgic cars.

So Thank you Claire for posing so well and Manu and Mork for some Behind the scenes photos. They will be placed in a slideshow movie soon.

Lady of the lake : 24-04-2011

Here it is.
This serie was planned several months ago, but we didn't manage to give it a date before April. So we arranged this shoot for Easter with Nastia as MUA. It was a wonderful and warm day and we went to Het Vinne (in Zoutleeuw).
As we do love fantasy, this serie was quite interesting to do hehe. We even had a sword with us.
Nastia is more than just a make up artist, she's wonderful with colors and really makes some sketches before the shoot. So thank you girl for making it so beautiful!
Alassë was amazing too and very patient with the wind that wasn't always there. So thank you too for the lovely day. It was the best Easter ever!! :D

That was the world I visited the weekend of May 1th and it was amazingly beautiful.
I discovered these magnificent, seventeenth century water gardens, part of Wallonia’s major heritage which are really worth a visit when there are some events.

Anime Cosplay

This shoot contains another theme which i wasn't that familiar with, but was really a challenge to me.

I worked with the wonderful Schokpop again (we already did a previous shoot with the Lolita Theme in an abandoned castle). This however was totally different, but interesting and fun to do in my studio at home.

I really had to use my Photoshop skills afterwarts to create the Chobits sphere, but luckely i'm pretty advanced when it comes to that ;-)

Glamour

Why Glamour?

I would say, cause of the Glam ;-)
It has something mysterious, something vintage. It's not easy to achieve the light they used in that particular time. There you need theater lights, like Fresnel. They give a warm and soft light that smoothens the skin.
I study Portrait/Studio Photography in the eveningschool, so our assignment is also Glamour.

I know the trick is to tighten up the lightsorce, so there is a sort of beam on the model.
Here are the first results with flashlights (no Fresnel) hehe.
I will try to get that effect with my studiolights soon....I have to keep practising i think ;-)

Trees are like people, some trees don't get along and some trees do very much.
The look of the Forest is never the same.
Trees can trick you too :-)
This is a collection which I find are worthy to put on the net and to be showed to the world instead of rotten away on my computer.

The most beautiful time of the year to take pictures of the forest is Autumn.
Then you certainly find me there.......

Don't be scared of the forest, they just look scary sometimes, and don't mention the animals inside :D

A Princess Tale

This serie is of my shoot with Maya with the theme "A Princess Tale".
She's a wonderful model, so thank you dear! ;-)
I only used 2 flashes in the whole serie in the Strobist way....and ofcourse the castle was the perfect location for this shoot.
People even asked us if we were making a film? cause a knight was running around over there too for another shoot 'lol'.

Hotel Kosmos

Hotel Kosmos

This family park in the south of Belgium got abandoned in 2002. The hotel and swimming pool were famous recreation places in the 1980’s.

In 1889 the first touristy place was build, a watch-tower on top of a hill in the area. The tower is rebuild after WWII within it was destroyed. In 1934 on another hill the hotel Kosmos was build to attract more tourists. Later an open air swimming pool is opened at the same hill.
